When we say, “editorial calendar,” we’re referring to a simple spreadsheet that helps you track the calendar year and your own content ideas for various marketing channels.
We like to add a tab with a topic library, so you’ll never be stuck when it comes to writing an email, sharing a social media post, or writing a guest blog article. We’ve found several prompts can help get the ideas flowing, and we wanted to share 7 of these with you!
- Quick tips. What problems are you solving? How are you making your clients’ lives better?
- Resources. What resources have you created that you can share? Articles? Checklists? Webinars? Sharing is caring 🙂
- Success stories. Can you demonstrate how lives have been transformed because your organization was there to guide your clients? Do you have quotes from people whose lives have been impacted?
- Book reviews. What books have been especially influential as you work to fulfill your mission?
- Shoutouts. Write about partners, sponsors, or collaborating organizations and help each other leverage your social media followings when you share your posts. They win, you win 🙂
- Process. Every organization has processes that are specific to their field of expertise. Share your step-by-step processes that lead to success.
- ASK. Make a list of action steps you want your readers to take. Donate? Volunteer? Attend an event? Don’t forget to ASK.
