Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Houston

The Challenge

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Houston had a rich 20-year history of fundraising and supporting The Salvation Army Houston’s mission. However, their stories of dedication and impact were scattered and undocumented. They needed a way to honor their volunteers, inspire future generations, and create a lasting legacy. The challenge was to compile two decades of memories, achievements, and personal stories into a cohesive and visually appealing format that would resonate with members, supporters, and potential donors.

The Solution

In collaboration with the amazing designer, Alex Pesak, we created a beautiful, coffee table-style book that chronicled the 20-year history of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary in Houston. Working closely with the organization, we:

  1. Curated and organized 20 years of stories, photographs, and achievements.
  2. Designed a clean, elegant layout emphasizing visual storytelling through carefully selected photographs.
  3. Balanced historical narrative with personal anecdotes to create an engaging and emotionally resonant reading experience.
  4. Produced a high-quality, full-color book that serves as both a keepsake and a promotional tool.

The Results

The resulting history book successfully captured the essence of the Women’s Auxiliary’s 20 years of service:

  1. Strengthened the sense of community and pride among Women’s Auxiliary members.
  2. Provided a powerful fundraising and awareness tool for The Salvation Army.
  3. Created a lasting legacy that will inspire future generations of volunteers and donors.
  4. Offered a visually stunning showcase of the organization’s impact and growth over two decades.
  5. Served as a beautiful tribute to the dedication and hard work of all the women involved in the auxiliary.

This project demonstrates our ability to transform organizational history into a visually compelling and emotionally engaging narrative, resulting in a product that serves both as a beautiful keepsake and an effective promotional tool.
