Groundswell (Formerly Galveston’s Own Farmer’s Market)

Groundswell (formerly Galveston’s Own Farmers Market) is a nonprofit farmers market committed to building a healthier Galveston.

The Challenge

Most small food and craft vendors don’t have a marketing team or time for content planning. They needed simple, sustainable tools to strengthen their social media presence without burning out. Groundswell wanted their vendors to walk away from the training with practical ideas and clear next steps.

The Solution

Solace Media led an interactive 1-hour workshop focused on helping vendors build a stronger online presence, with topics like:

  • Choosing the right platforms (and skipping the rest)
  • Optimizing profiles with clear visuals and bios
  • What to post: faces, behind-the-scenes, product features, and market-day energy
  • Reposting stories and tagging others to build buzz
  • Balancing original content with curated content
  • Tracking results: impressions, engagement, and sales
  • Setting SMART goals

The workshop ended with a goal-setting activity, where each vendor picked one or two achievable next steps. Groundswell staff and vendors alike participated, sparking ideas and strengthening their community in the process.

The Results

Vendors left the session with renewed energy, clear goals, and a plan they could actually stick to. Groundswell added value to its community and built trust with the people that make their market possible. One workshop = big impact!

Let's write your success story.

When they saw that their vendors were struggling to build online visibility, they knew that better communication meant a stronger market for everyone. So they brought in Solace Media to lead a practical, no-fluff social media training for their local vendors. What could be possible for your organization?
