Good Works Collective
Good Works Collective helps adults in Houston uncover their purpose and step into fulfilling careers through cost-covered training and personal development. As a brand-new organization, they needed language that could clearly express their mission and connect with future participants, volunteers, and donors. Solace Media partnered with their team and collaborators at Yellowbox to build a message – and a website – that could carry their mission forward.

The Challenge
Good Works Collective was preparing to launch their first cohort and needed a message that would resonate with people in different places: prospective participants looking for a second chance, donors and churches considering partnership, and volunteers eager to walk alongside others. The vision was powerful, but early drafts of their copy felt too general or too complex. They needed words that would make their purpose clear and inspiring from the very beginning.

The Solution
Solace Media created a full messaging guide to give the team shared language across all touchpoints. The guide helped clarify how to talk about Good Works’ mission, how to differentiate between audiences, and how to express the transformation they make possible. In close collaboration with Yellowbox, who led the visual identity and website development, we helped shape a homepage that communicates dignity, momentum, and possibility – without overwhelming visitors with details.
The Results
The messaging helped Good Works Collective launch strong. Their team now has the clarity to speak with confidence and consistency, and their website gives future clients, allies, and donors a clear path to take action. Since launch, they’ve filled cohorts, recruited volunteers, and started building a network of support around their mission of economic, relational, and spiritual well-being.
