Freedom Church Alliance

Freedom Church Alliance is an alliance of churches in the Houston area and beyond, united in the fight to end human trafficking. Like a lot of organizations doing meaningful work, they’d grown and evolved significantly over the past few years. They’d expanded beyond Houston, added new programs, and created something exciting: The Fight for Freedom Sunday School course, based on their book, which was about to launch on an online platform that would put them in front of hundreds of thousands of church leaders and members.

This was huge. But here’s the problem: their website hadn’t kept up. As new programs and resources had been added over time, the site had gotten a bit messy and wasn’t really communicating the full scale of what they were doing anymore. They knew their website traffic was about to surge, and they wanted to make sure they were ready. They needed visitors to understand their mission clearly, see how to get involved, and take the right actions. They couldn’t afford to waste this moment.

We went back to the beginning and did what we do best: we listened. We surveyed their community of donors, church leaders, and partners and asked the essential questions:

Who is Freedom Church Alliance? What do they actually do? What are their programs? What other organizations are in this space, and what makes Freedom Church Alliance unique? Why do people choose to donate or partner with them?

From those insights, we created:

• A comprehensive messaging guide tailored to two key audiences: donors and church leaders. Each audience has unique goals, challenges, and decision-making criteria, so we made sure Freedom Church Alliance could speak directly to what matters most to each group.
• A refreshed, cohesive website that accurately reflects where the organization is now. We reorganized and rewrote sections to showcase the scale and impact of their work, making it easy for new visitors to understand the mission and find their place in it.
